Transactions
The fortuneteller doesn’t transact with identities, but rather, with what is unsettling already, with conflict. It’s a given, then, that when the fortuneteller reads the cards, she reads them for their function and active power, not for their determination that such and such is fixed in the illusion of some nominal correspondence. As if to seal this thought, a spider visited the inside of my new book, Read Like the Devil: The Essential Course in Reading the Lenormand Oracle, so, let’s see this as a sign of how the obvious presents itself.
