IF YOU REALLY LOVE ME
IF YOU REALLY LOVE ME, THROW ME OFF THE MOUNTAIN
ERIN CLARK
If You Really Love Me, Throw Me Off the Mountain is a memoir of love and adventure. It tells of one very whole woman’s experience of being disabled in a world that cannot imagine her being anything other than broken.
In 2014, aerial dancer Erin Clark moves from Canada to command the stages of New York City. When her wheelchair breaks, sepsis nearly kills her, and her marriage ends, she is flung out of her life and into a dramatic series of events, which culminates with her moving to Spain to join a paragliding school and master one of the world’s most dangerous sports. When she falls in love in the Andalusian mountains, she learns that a flying wheelchair might not be the biggest risk of all.

REVIEWS
Erin Clark has a fabulous life, full of adventure, gorgeous guys, glam photo shoots and exotic locations. Oh yeah, she also uses a wheelchair – meaning she often has to face down people with restricted ideas of what she's capable of. Erin lays it on the line about her disability and why we need to trust her when she says ‘I've got it.’ This book worked so well for me on two levels – it's a glorious romp around the world, filled with journeys I wish I was on; and it's also a paean to self-determination. Not just the tired old chestnut of ‘Rah rah you can do anything!’ but a serious look at how we can assess – and push – our own boundaries, no matter our level of courage or our method of moving around. Whether you're a jetsetter like Erin, or prefer to let her soar through the air (in multiple ways) while you bathe in her glorious prose, this book will move, delight, and yes, titillate you. I hope you'll enjoy it as much as I did. — ALLISON WILLIAMS, Amazon
Clark’s prose is both muscled and tender, and offers a perspective on bodies, disability, and love that I’ve hungered for most of my life. Clark’s story is one of adventure, risk-taking, and learning to fly - for the reader, it’s an exhilarating air-lift for the imagination! — JAMIN, Amazon
