SIGNED BOOKS
We have some EyeCorner Press divination books for sale that have been in our coffers for a while. All copies are pristine and sold at their current list price. As loyal customers you get them signed by Camelia when it’s one of her titles and otherwise customised when it’s a book by another author. Bent will also sign his little Freud book if you ask nicely.
There is usually only one copy available of each title, and two of a very few. Grab them while you can, as prices in stores are going to go up. Production costs with our printers, Lightning Source, have also gone up, but so far we have absorbed those increases without sending them on to our buyers and readers.
However, all small presses are going through an extra rough time right now, if they want Amazon and other on-line store distribution. Amazon, for instance, demands a 40% discount on all wholesale titles before they will even consider purchasing an independent press title, and they prefer a minimum 55% discount if they are to prioritise a title.
As a result EyeCorner Press has been forced to raise prices on all titles, effective November 3, 2023. The increase in prices will be between 16 and 25%, as we would otherwise not receive any author compensation on our titles. As long as titles are in stock, the stores may keep the current list price active, or they may unilaterally try to cut prices to get rid of stock, so that they can order new, more profitable copies for the Christmas sales.
